Sarah Wirth Promoted To AVP/Director of Marketing at Texas DPS Credit Union
Texas DPS Credit Union is pleased to announce the promotion of Sarah Wirth to the position of Assistant Vice President (AVP)/Director of Marketing. In this new capacity, Wirth will oversee all day-to-day operations of the marketing department, foster change, and continue to create experiences and interactions with members and employees that stand by and support the credit union’s vision and culture.
“Moving to Austin to continue my marketing career at a credit union was a great decision,” said Wirth. “As a long-time credit union member and after working at Credit Union National Association, I knew that this industry was right for me. Having the chance to build up a marketing department at TXDPSCU was an opportunity I am so grateful for. It’s exciting to work at a smaller organization with a team that feels like family and supports our members in a more personal way. I’m excited to see what the future holds for us!”
Since joining the credit union in 2021, Wirth has served as Marketing Director and now as the acting AVP/Director of Marketing. During her tenure, Wirth has continued to support the growth of the credit union and has had many accomplishments, including enhancements to our digital marketing efforts, building strong relationships with our core membership base at DPS, streamlining processes across departments, and developing strategic marketing plans that align with the credit union’s vision. Wirth’s 8-year career in credit unions and marketing began at Credit Union National Association for 5 years before she began working for TXDPSCU in 2021. Wirth holds a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
According to President/CEO Cassy Sass, “I am honored to have Sarah as part of our management team! She brings the right mix of experience and vision to lead all our marketing efforts. Sarah’s expertise in credit union marketing, coupled with her energy and positive attitude, are tremendous assets to our organization. She truly is one of a kind, and I look forward to all the ways she will continue to strengthen the TXDPSCU brand in the future.”
