At Texas DPS Credit Union, keeping your information secure is one of our top priorities. We are pleased to announce that a new multi-factor authentication (MFA) security feature will go into effect in the coming weeks.

How does the new security feature work?

  • When logging into Online Banking, you will receive a one-time 6-digit verification code by text or voice using the phone number we have on file.
  • You will be asked to enter the code to complete your login.
  • This new verification process replaces the security questions previously used when logging into Online Banking.
  • This feature is also available in our mobile app.

Why is this feature important?

MFA helps protect your account by confirming it’s really you before access is granted. Even if someone knows your password, they won’t be able to access your account without the verification code sent to your phone.

Your Next Steps

Review your contact information in your Online Banking profile and make sure we have your current:

  • Cell phone number (or direct phone number)
  • Email address
  • NOTE: If you are a joint account holder, please ensure the phone numbers for both account holders are in your Online Banking profile.

It is important that we have your correct and up-to-date contact information or you will not be able to access Online Banking.

Below is a short walkthrough video showing you exactly where to update your contact information in your Online Banking profile.

If you need further assistance, our team is always happy to help.
