MASTERCARD® CREDIT CARDS
Tips
1.) Create a list of credit card numbers with the phone numbers of the card
companies and keep it in a safe place so you can reference the list if your card
is stolen or lost. Do not carry this list out in public with you.
2.) If someone calls you asking for your card number, do not give it to them. If it is
someone claiming to be from an organization you have done business with in
the past, it is best to politely tell them you will find the company phone number
on your own, don't rely on them giving it to you, and then call to verify that the
phone call is legit.
3.) Save receipts and closely compare them to your monthly credit card statements.
4.) When online, make sure the page you are giving your credit card information on
is secure and is a reputable organization.
5.) Be cautious mailing your credit card payments in. The mailbox at the end of
your drive doesn't have a special detection device that only allows the mail
carrier to open the box and take out the mail.
6.) If there is any documents with your account number on it that you will throw
away, make sure you shred it first. |
